As a venture-backed, serial startup entrepreneur, I’ve had to play a lot of roles, and have developed skills and insights across a range of areas as a result. You can hire me to help with any of these:
- Founder/CEO coaching–Leading can be a very taxing, isolating experience, and I’ve been there and can help you handle it better. I can analyze and identify the best and worst applications of your time so you can be more productive where you’re most effective. I also coach on setting and achieving personal goals, management, time creation, interpersonal issues, personal accountability, etc. You can benefit and learn from my mistakes and successes, and from simply having someone to talk with confidentially about your world.
- Sales Improvement–processes, metrics, comp plans, software, analysis, sales management, etc. The goal of sales management, strategy, and tactics is to increase revenue.
- Marketing Improvement–general research, customer research, competitive analysis, search engine optimization (SEO), positioning, writing, social media strategies, lead generation, new customer development, existing customer development, metrics, analysis, Google AdWords (etc), online marketing, promotions, etc. The goal of marketing is to increase revenue through marketing tactics; my emphasis tends to be on lead generation.
- Investment/Venture Capital–positioning companies for fundraising, fundraising strategies, venture capital research, venture presentations, packaging companies for fundraising, developing funding strategies, term sheet negotiation. The goal of raising funds should be to get the right amount of capital to fuel a company’s growth plans at the right terms while aligning company goals and investor goals. I know and understand the VC ecosystem, mindset, and biases and can help you raise capital from the right investors.
- Product Improvement–UI, usability, strategic feature selection, release strategies.
- Strategic Technology Consulting–I can help you figure out where you are and where you need to go through the use of technologies–from the latest trends to bleeding-edge tech.
